We check the APRS VHF propagation website and a tropo website at
http://www.dxinfocentre.com/tropo.html#hour24
every morning. We run a large linked repeater network in NC and it is very
useful to get near real time propagation data to have advance warnings on
where to expect interference problems or reverse repeaters pairs that may
pop up from a few hundred miles away. At least you know what the day may
bring and take action ahead of time like turn PL on at a particular repeater
or take it off air for a few hours.
