PEOPLE... Let me clarify. "-0.6M" as well as "-gobbledygook" will work as
well as "-junk" as well as "this is crazy" will all "work" since NONE OF
THEM ARE offsets. Hence, the radio will give up and use the existing
standard offset, which in the USA is -600 if the freq is below 146.999 MHz.
The only thing that "WORKS" properly is what is in the spec, +xxx or -xxx in
10's of KHz. PERIOD.
Anything else will be interpreted as not an offset and the radio will use
its standard offset but IF AND ONLY IF it has one.

But since we are trying to get something a bit more standard going it helps

Gives me an offset of 0.500MHz and also change the step to 5kHz
