NO You do not need the DVD. The program fully installs itself entirely on
your hard disk, using 3.5 GB of disk space. I have it running just fine on an
Acer ZG5 netbook with a 160 GB.hard disk.

I normally do all my software installs from ISO images of the original CD-ROMs
or DVDs. In the case of the netbook, I did the initial setup by booting from a
copy of the Windows XP Pro install CD placed on a 1 GB flash drive.
Everything else on the machine was then installed from the 1 TB external hard
drive, once the base Windows install was up and running.

Unlike many software publishers, Undertow is actually overly conservative about
hardware requirements. While they state on the PM9 website:

Minimum System Requirements
// /*Operating System:*/ Win XP, Win Vista, Win 7
/*CPU:*/  2 GHz
/*RAM:*/ 1 Gb
/
/I have quite successfully run it with Windows 2000 on an 877 MHz Pentium III
with 512K RAM. Actually I'm not sure what they mean by "1GB" since Windows 7
by itself would barely boot and run in 1GB RAM.....
