Actually, other than moving the ship closer to the shoreline, the captain
totally messed up after the first grounding.  He left the ship before the
evacuation was finished, and when the Italian authorities told him (on the
radio) to return to his ship, he refused, and now he;s trying to claim that
he tripped and fell into the life raft!  Probably shouldn't give him credit
where none is due.
