Hmmmm...
The common thing seems to be USB and FireWire connected devices causing
W7 to chuck it's toys out. Those guys though, are using W7-64
Ultimate, I'm (trying to) use W7-32 Home Premium.
Wonder if is periodicaly powering down something after a few hours.
Wouldn't be the first time I've seen that sort of thing, it is a laptop
after all (Tosh Satellite Equium P200D.) I once had issues with another
similar machine (running Vista) where the WiFi would dis' at regular
intervals, causing some mayhem. I seem to remember there is a "let
windows manage power for this device" setting somewhere.
I'll try two things later....
Memtest86 run overnight (again..) Then enable "Full Power" mode, see if
that reduces its tendancies to BSoD...
If I can get this thing stable, maybe I can persuade UiView to run, AND
talk to my TNC. (Via one of the 4 ports on the USB<>RS232 gadget of
course.) To try and stay tenuiously remotely/on toppic!
