K6RPT, who set a world record for a long-duration APRS balloon flight  (from California's Silicon Valley to the Mediterranean near Tunisia) last year will be trying again Sunday afternoon Californa (US Pacific) time.

California Near Space Project (CNSP) is scheduled to launch a stratospheric floater on Sunday, December 2, 2012, at 4:45 p.m. PST  (0045 UTC Monday 3 December),   weather permitting.
Mark Conner, N9XTN, from NSTAR is working with us on this project and has given CNSP the final ok to launch.
CNSP will be filling indoors using a floating arm scale which allows the fill to be very accurate.
APRS updates will be every two minutes with a total run time of 60 hours. The APRS tracker will report voltage during the flight.
Flight is CNSP-18  (K6RPT-12)

The WA8LMF LiveTrack system will be displaying the flight on UIview with Precision Mapping and UI-HeightTrack at:

    <http://wa8lmf.net/livetrack>

This page provides two views, one from Uiview and a 3D-looking relief map from Delorme TopoUSA.

I will also be plotting it's track on my usual 30M HF APRS page with the full continental US map at:
