Eric,
Cool!  I'm toying with backing them at the $115 level.  I really want one.  I was on the fence, comparing with the Sony SmartWatch ($150), but I think the Pebble is the better deal.

I'm a backer. I signed on as soon as they changed the spec from water-resistant to water-proof. The company will be releasing the SDK in a few months so people can get to work designing apps for the watch. The watch will be released in September.

OK, I'll fully admit that I am an RF guy when it comes to APRS.  I am a limited internet-APRS connection user, however, there is a new product coming out that I would love to see used for some kind of APRS display with a smartphone.  It's called the Pebble:

Watch the video for details.  At the end they mention an end user SDK that can let you send and receive data to/from the watch via an Android or iPhone.  Even though it pretty much takes radio out of the equation, I would love to see some kind of gateway on the phone that would allow you to display APRS station info, messages, WX data and even respond to message through this watch.  I wonder if these functions could be integrated into APRSDroid on Android or IBCNU (I think that is the iPhone flavor) to support this?

Just thought some here might find this as an interesting application!
