The IGate operators should not care. The IGates do not send every position through from INet to RF. A position should only be sent to RF if they explicitly add you to a list (and then infrequently), or once every thirty minutes when you are sending a message from INet to a station in their local coverage area.

Again, try Ham Tracker. I leave it on 24/7 and its effect on battery life is not noticeable.
