The Yaesu FTM-350 has a GPS receiver which integrates into the remote
control head, it also has an optional gps cable so you can place it in a
better spot if needed, but as long as the head is mounted up on the dash
they do fine.

1) You can already get handhelds from Kenwood and Yaesu with integrated
GPS
units. There would not be much point in integrating a GPS into a mobile,
since
the radio chassis most likely would not have a clear view of the sky from
inside the vehicle.
If you use an external GPS antenna, it will need to have an built-in preamp
to
offset the horrendous coax loss at 1575 MHz where GPS operates. If you
are
going to have an external unit anyway, you might as well avoid the coax loss
and need for a preamp by using the faceless hockeypuck-type GPS devices.
Units
like the Garmin GPS-18, and the ones sold by Argent Data and Byonics,
combine
the antenna and entire GPS receiver into one unit -- 5 VDC in/serial GPS
data
out to a port on the radio.
2) Trim your email responses!!! You had FIVE previous posts quoted in
your
posting!
