Generally we have three New-N paradigm DIGI types:
"S" type support: WIDEn-N and SSn-N
"1" type support: WIDE1-1 only
??? several legacy types such as "T" Paccoms
But F8ARO suggests that a fill-in could also support the less used path of SSn-N and TEMPn-N without adding normal QRM to the channel but that it could help out at other times.
I think this is a good idea. And the name of such a fill-in digipeater that supports 1-1, TEMPn-N and SSn-N woiuld best be identified by the overlay "T". But "T" is already in use by about 35 digipeaters in the world. But I suspect that many of these are NOT Legacy PACCOMMM's and are just using the "T" for "trace" which is obsolete.
I do not hafve time to research this, but if anyone on this list would like to contact these digi owners and see if any of them are old Legacy PacComms and let us konw. That use of "T" was proposed in 2004 as a way to mark these old obslete digis until they could be replaced.
It is now time to move on.
So lets root out any old PacComms and see if any still exist. And if not, then we can move on and re-use the overlay "T" for this new more capable fill-in.
Here is the global list of existing "T" digis. Lets find out about each one and identify the PacOComm's (the only valid use of "T" to date.
Here is the FINDU.COM list of all existing "T" digis:

If you can find out about these, let me know.
