Note that the connectors in question are   NOT   PS/2 connectors; i.e. 6-pin 
mini-DIN jacks.

Rather they are EIGHT-pin mini-DIN connectors that are the same as used for 
serial ports on early Apple Macintosh computers.    In fact "Apple modem 
cables" with an 8-pin mini-DIN male on one end and a DB25 male on the other 
(that were intended to connect classic external dialup modems to Macs) will 
work as serial cables for the D710.  You will need a DB-25-to-DB-9 adapter through.
