Nope! Although we can use those too.
I'm talking about the Cloudmade shapefile extracts from the OSM maps. Do a search and you'll find the downloads for those.
They are a snapshot of the Open Street Map database extracted into Shapefile format. When you get to the download site and maneuver down into your country of choice, it's the file with "shapefile" in the the name. The rest are extracts in other data formats.
