Unlike a gas generator, your solar/battery array is probably silent, and may
not get noticed.

In THEORY, pulling the main breaker would seem safe, but you don't bet
peoples lives on "probably ok".   You might be feeding just a short section
of line from your house up to a transformer, and down the street, with no
other loads, so it's not safe to assume that you couldn't make those lines
lethally hot.

Some of us may be qualified electricians in this domain, but most of us
aren't, and we shouldn't go making assumptions that could hurt someone.
