It all depends... Actually, life in years usually assumes only 3 hours use a
day or something like that.  So a "10 year" bulb always on, might only be
good for 1/8th of that or about a year and a half.

Or, I think they are rated in 10,000 hours?  A year is 8760 hours.  Again,
so about a year and some.. for always on.  Still much much better than an
incandescent?
