Unless you have done modifications to the Nuvi 350, there is only one USB
connector. The one on the back may look like the same style of connector,
but it is for power only. Users of the Nuvi 350 / Tracker 2 (OT2m, T2-135,
T2-301) sometimes modify the Nuvi 350 to extend the serial transmit
and receive data from the connector on the right side of the 350 to unused
pins on the rear connector for a "one cable" solution. Unless this has been
done, the rear connector is for power only.

Did you ever try connecting the GTRANS cable to a terminal program to
see what if anything it was outputting? The Nuvi would have to be powered
via the cradle... i.e. the rear connector. If you think that you have a cable
problem, I would suggest contacting Scott N1VG at Argent Data.

You mentioned before that received position reports were being
sent as waypoints to the Nuvi. It is possible that data is flowing in
one direction. Connecting the GTRANS cable to a terminal program
will prove whether or not you are getting any NMEA data from
the Nuvi. As I mentioned before, the Nuvi would have to be powered
via the cradle or the GTRANS cable won't get power from the Nuvi.
