Ummmm I thought Earl was talking about 1.2meters.... ie 220mhz. Range seems too small for 1.2gig.
To misquote an old movie... 1.2m or 1.25m, whatever it takes. ;-)

There would need to be radios for 1.2G for less than $500 for that to happen. And then the most common 1.2 radio is the biggest D-STAR radio there is.
