I'm pretty sure think the D700 does.

It makes for a very fast and efficient stand-alone isolated system (not on
the national channel since there is no tracing).  But for a special event
that needed lots of hops it can be very effective.

Instead of receiving this 58 byte packet for 3 hops:

WB4APR>APRS,K3ABC-11*,WIDE1,K3XYZ-14,W3ABC-14,WIDE2*:>Hello!

You get this for the 6th out of 7 hops:

WB4APR>APRS-1:Hi there!

And the final hop would be

WB4APR>APRS:>Hello!  <== total abt 23 bytes

But again, there is absolutely no traceability, so one had better think
carefully about setting up the isolated network.
