Floating the idea of an APRS March 2012 PowerHike of the Appalachian Trail,
Georgia to Maine in 100 days.

This is a continuous 2180 mile Thru-hike of the trail from Springer Mountain
in Georgia to Mount Katahdin in Maine. The concept is a well supplied APRS
powerhike of some individuals starting in mid March from Georgia.

A power hike means averaging over 22 miles a day, but assisted in
provisioning every day or so to minimize pack weight. APRS is used for
communications, coordination and rendezvous.

Section hikers and slack hikers are also welcome!

Lemme know if interested. We will move logistics discussions over to the
APRS Golden Packet Group reflector for details.

We also need to permanently develop a good VOICE REPEATER list for the AT!
And Echolink sites.
