Is it true standard NMEA, or does it have the odd prefix that the D700 and 
TH-D7 added to their GPS pass-through streams?

If you use it with a non-APRS program like MapPoint, will the mapping 
application choke on the occasional APRS packet that will appear on the same  
port as the GPS data?
