It is pretty easy to save "screenshots" of S&T (using its "save as web
page") feature and use them as static maps in UI-View and other APRS
clients. However, like Stephen indicated, it would be ten years out of date.
Lots of roads would still be where they were ten years ago, but you could
be missing some new ones.

If you are using UI-View, the $50 solution is to get "Streets & Traveler"
from Precision Mapping. With that and PMapServer, you would have
dynamic street level mapping of all of North America. If you always
have an Internet connection, you could use the PA7RHM map server
that  retrieves the maps from online. It is possible to save static maps
from it to use when you don't have a connection.

How did you make out with getting HF data back in June? Did you
end up creating a "port of entry" filter to use, or did you come up
with some other way?
