Thanks! Good thinking. This is a deal-breaker then. If we
tried to use DCS, then they wouldn't hear anything from anyone
on that channel!
That's why we throw this stuff out there, to see if it sticks.
Based on your feedback, I think the DCS part has hit the wall
and fallen behind the stove...
OK, now we only have PL (which actually was more valuable,
because far, far more of the old-fart-volunteers show up with
old HT's that at least have PL, than have DCS anyway. (I say
that lovingly... They are the ones that always DO SHOWUP!)..
But as you say, the DCS could be used as just a pre-programmed
memory channel that is switched to, transmitted, and then
switched back, but I agree, that is not user friendly and to
cumbersome...
OK, PL. Should be easy to decode in a pic... Just count the
frequency...
