Openaprs.net and AGWtracker and maybe others have built-in displays to show how any beacon looks on the screen of these radios.  It is a nice feature.  Even the original APRSdos and WInAPRS showed a form of how messages would look on the small screens.

These radios are the MAIN way that mobiles see APRS info.  They are out there by the tens of thousands.  Everyone needs to consider the value of pre-formatting for best display on these radios.
