Part of the cool factor for me, is doing it with a battery, an 8 pin chip, and a beeper.

Seems like a PalmOS or similar PDA should be able to do this easily.

That might be fun!  I'm in the mode of practicing CW again with an

eye towards working CW during next Field Day.
