[aprssig] DX-cluster Messaging?

Matti is right. If you think the channel is congested now, just wait until a DX cluster is active on 144.39, the channel will be useless.

NO! Do not put that flood on APRS!

I do use DX Cluster myself - with strict filtering of interesting items.
Full feed of those clusters is hundreds of items per hour when nothing
interesting happens, and totally unmanagable even on internet when something
does happen!

You can use DX Clusters over packet radio, but then you want to have the
cluster internet gw very near, and use it via CONS mode so you can set
preferrence filters for yourself.

I can't say to be power user, I watch VUSHF spots in strictly limited area.
Would these even fit on APRS message? 80 characters per line.. (And really
they are more like beacons, definitely not messages!)

Total HF traffic is magnitudes more volymous than my limited area VUSHF
sample below on day when there are no regional contests. Furthermore, those
who really want DX Cluster spots do want that global HF flood - to their
computer program, which commands the rig on correct freq by doubleclicking
the mouse, and starts calling the station.
Where is the fun in that? No more spinning your VFO around...
