[aprssig] APRS Email -> Cell phone Text message problem

The Razr is not exactly known for its reliability, sadly.
They were popular over here briefly for the big screen and the style of
the package, but quickly fell out of favour due to many "operational"
issues that P'd off too many users, on all networks. I haven't seen
one in use now in the UK, for over a year. I guess they are all in
landfill now, or at the back of the kitchen cupboard. The one my
partner had, used to drop call's or reset for no reason, never did get
to the bottom of that, I think she broke it in half out of frustration
in the end.

Hi Pete,
Yeah, that's what I figured. Email-2 was the service I used, because I
appreciate how it can use aliases for email addresses.
I tried again using the original email service (no "-2"), because it
formats things differently, with "Message from <call sign>" in the
subject, and the message within the traditional message text area. She
got a message, but this time the phone rebooted itself and left an
error, something about not being able to download the message. I didn't
try to pursue it at this time. Perhaps it's simply out of space, or
maybe the links and/or size is causing an internal crash. The phone is
a Motorola Razr, with T-Mobile service.
So, this is going to take some gateway work...
Any takers?
