Garmin's like the GPS 18 can run in simulator mode. I'm not sure if they
output the data in Garmin Binary when they run that way though.

It's not NMEA that I need.  I already have an NMEA simulator, but this
unit takes Garmin binary data - and I need to be sure that there's not
some quirk in what's actually coming from the Garmin.
