Subject: [aprssig] 6m APRS in Maryland/Nova

There is a local flurry of APRS tracker activity on 50.62 in the Maryland, Northern VA area the last week or so as
several mobiles are out their driving around comparing 6m APRS to 2m APRS.

This does not rule out the possibility of some DX propagation.
So if you have a 6m APRS receiver, tune in to 50.62 MHz and see if you capture anything.

Rare, but maybe.. Too bad I did not think to ask them to run all night on Wed night during the Persieds meteor shower!

When we used to do APRS activity nights during meteor showers, 6m was far better than 2 meters, and it worked!
