[aprssig] Can these radios be used to pick up AIS ?

I would love to see a handheld AIS receiver with a display.   And not a 
reciever kludged to a PDA, a real one box battery operated solution.

This would be helpful to people who rent boats, S&R groups, as well as 
aviators who might be looking for a specific boat.
