EU Member states, nation states, or US States, they're not always so very
different in this regard.  Some are quite small.

My very large State of California could probably have it's own standard (but
we would still want the efficiency and effectiveness improvements of
"traceable WIDEn-N"), and some US States aren't much bigger than Denmark.

A good time to change your Unproto path settings is _not_ right while you're
driving toward the border and also already busy confirming to yourself that
you _do_ have your driver's license and passport handy _just in case_ they
might ask to see your papers.  hi
