Phillip,

Apparently the guy that is doing all the conversions thinks he
will be charging on the order of $120 each .  This is higher
than I thought for surplus radios, but then he had to buy 120 of
them to get 30 working...  I cannot imagine that shipping them
to NZ would be cost effective... Nor worth the hassle.

To build up a Meteor Scater network in NZ/AUS, I would think you
are going to need a lot of players and so you will need to
develop a local source down there...

Is that what you have in mind?
