Probably, but we are mixing voice with packet

We don't want to tie up the channel for too long

Didn't Bob come up with a way to do this with just touch tones?

  Thank You,

    What I need is this

    VK4TEC>CQ:Check2,45,13:20,56,14:00

Split --> Check point2 data, at 13:20 horse 45 was there, at 14:00 horse 56 was there

    And then

    VK4TEC>CQ:Msg2,Please send a horse float

Split --> Check point2 message , "Please send a horse float"

Simple UI packets, via a DIGI would help.

I think Scott did something called a packet shooter ??

Actually, I have a new Alpha firmware that is like a KISS TNC, but
also includes a UI TNC like protocols. So you setup the MYCALL, DEST,
PATH, etc, and then anything you send to it, with a CR/LF termination,
will be sent. When UI packets are received, they are sent to serial
like a TNC in converse monitor mode, such as: N6BG>CQ:Testing!<CR>
