We deployed our floating APRS buoy this morning about 1500 UTC a
mile upriver and watched it drift a mile... (it was among three
other ARGOSY buoys)

They all passed by the academy in the river... But then ours
seemed to get stuck. We went looking for it and it seemed to be
in the vicinity of the oceanography pier-lab. Looked
everwyhere, Finaly got a boat and found it UNDER the very-same
pier where the lab is that tracks these things!

Anyway, untangled it from the pilings and moved it 100 yards off
shore. Now the current is going the other way.. But Microtrack
buoy is doing well. Been on the air for 4 days now...

See it http://map.findu.com/buoy-4

Or details on www.ew.usna.edu/~bruninga/buoy4.html
