[aprssig] Socket question

Hi,

I can understand how within perl, when you program serial, when a line come in, then it can be processed.

Often a carriage return or line feed signals the script to proceed.

In socket programming, how does a perl script handle data ?

Does it come in chunks or still get processed based on carriage returns ?

What if the data is not terminated in a carriage return ?

Do you have to byte match then ?
