As I understand from reading your webpage, the PL100 tone is not
digi'd? So ANYTIME I hear the packet, that means someone with PL100
is within simplex range?

I think this voice alert is GREAT - only problem, the W4IAX-7 repeater
doesn't respond to packets that have PL100 tone attached. I can ride
from Fairhope, AL over to Theredore, AL with path of WIDE1-1,WIDE2-2
with PL100 tone and KI4ELU-7 will digi me nicely up to about I-10,
then it's VERY hit or miss with the packets. W4IAX-7 will very seldom
pick up my packet.

"IF" I will use the same path but leave the tone off, (no tone) then
W4IAX-7 will digi me nicely and I've got a good track all the way.
Next weekend I'll be on a trip toward Tupelo, MS and we will see how
well I get digi'd up that way with PL100 on.

73 all and keep up the good work - I am learning a LOT from just
monitoring this group.
