Do you remember the advertising tag line when they first started using 
metric volumes for beverages in the U.S. about 15-20 years ago?    Coke 
and Pepsi went from half-gallon bottles to the 2-liter plastic ones, and 
advertised that you got "a liter bit more".   

Strangely, the aluminum cans are still Imperial-denominated 12-oz 
containers.  Even Mexican beer in Mexico as well as in the U.S is in 
12-oz cans, while the bottles are metric.
