Then how do you explain a message on findU saying that unless you are 
connected to a certain server, do not bother asking for help?  How does 
that further the hobby and invite people to continue to evolve in ham 
radio and weather spotting?

Again, that is the original question I raised.  Where is the true 
meaning of ham radio in what is being propagated on the findU pages?  
I'm only 31 - I'm not that far ahead of you (whatever that means or for 
whatever it's worth).

Again (and finally), it is something I have been trying to do for six 
years.  Being a God fearing man myself, I have extended the olive branch 
to Steve on more than one occasion.  The reason we are actually a 
third-tier network is because Steve has convinced the core sysops not to 
allow for assured connections for our thirty-plus servers.  We were told 
flat out that if we were unable to connect, that was too bad.  Nothing 
further on this - it has always been Tier 2 that has put forth the 
effort to work with every area of APRS.
