My Appologies.I have configured ui-view 32 and agwpe software to run on the baycom it seems to be configured
okay i was just wondering if the baycom required an open squelch as apparently it draws its operating voltage from the radio"s audio?.

Is he asking about the modem itself or the Baycom software?

I've used the modems both with and without squelch. Currently I run a Baycom USCC>4 card with 2 x TCM3105 and 1 x AM7911 modems, and they all run unsquelched.

It's so long since I used the Baycom software that the Ark hadn't even been launched!

The first version of PC software for baycom did require closed squelch, but later version could operate with open squelch.

      open audio on the radio.
