With GPS modules so small and cheap, why wasn't one just built into the
control head (like a the old PL boards)? Since the head is positioned in
view, the new SiRF chips should have no problem seeing the sats.

How 1990's...
Bluetooth is so .. wireless.
Even if it comes to using a Bluetooth GPS with a Parani dongle,
connecting to the control head is a step backwords.
