Should anybody interested in APRS on the air run only APRSD or a full
application like WinAPRS/Xastir/UI-VIew etc? Telpac is the Igate of
the Winlink2k world.
Telpac a good thing and we need more of them -- just as APRS Igates are
a good thing and we need more of them. Why stop there? Just as many
APRS stations on the air can and should be an Igate, any interested in
real packet operations should look at "Community Packet Servers" which
can easily function as a Telpac along with other services and
activities. In the WL2K world there's Paclink or even their PMBO
system... Airmail is an incredible program. JNOS too. Very rich in
services and operation. Things are getting more interesting.
Now what was this discussion about at the start anyway?
