I have the specialized coms manual, describing how to set the radio up for 
APRS. Local ham having trouble, I believe he keeps getting it back to 
defaults, which would include RELAY,WIDE. So...

I can't get the other manual - Kenwoods site is down or not accessable for 
now.

Looks like setting up WIDE2-2, his call, etc. is pretty straight-forward.

How do I save this info? Once saved, what key-strokes recall this set-up?

I plan on WIDE2-2, beacon auto every 2, status every 8th position, status 
have his email address.

Does the GPS icon flash or otherwise indicate valid NMEA data is coming in?
