        I may have said that I am aware of the APRS bearing reporting, but that's the extent of my knowledge.  That it exists along with the quality and s-meter info.

   Don't know.   If I have time I'll do a little looking, but

  VK3ZPF's Vector-Fox system basically plots a bearing line 
  with each push of a button and you see them all on the 
  map and do a mental intersection determination.

  You got it.  The calculation part is trivial, even with a 
  eighting factor  (yea! Soze brain surgery...when you know how).  You can get a cross hairs on a map and the GPS coordinates.  With the info sent via APRS, anyone with the capability can grab the fixes and have his very own bulls-eye.

  As usual, Bob, a good idea.  Right now my current proto 
  has variables for fix vector-length.  If I get to where 
  I can put soft maps in (as opposed to just pasting a 
  GIF into Excel), This'll be a consideration.
