Purely out of curiosity, what is the owner's objection to changing to the
new paradigm?

Subject: Re: [aprssig] Knoxville digi
Given this area of the country, a digi on a 300 ft tower provides little
coverage. This digi is up at 4700 feet ASL (approx 2560 HAAT) and covers the
area well - if it were to be removed, lots of displays would be virtually
blank around here. Ideally we would like to see it upgraded, but that just
has
not worked out. The new digi that we will adding will be at almost the same
height and a little closer to Knoxville. It will be the new n-N style. Once
it's in place, all of the fill-in digi's will remove RELAY from their setup,
so it should get used less and less as time goes by, but will be a very nice
backup to have in case we need it. This digi has been up since APRS was on a
different frequency, so it's been around for a long time and work really
well
- just with the old settings.
