[aprssig] APRS Windows-CE Problem

Has anyone had problems with running APRS CE on an HP Ipaq 1950 series? I
am using a Kenwood THD-7 in packet mode and have all communications set up
properly. I have got it working...sometimes. The problem seems to be when
I shut the system down and try to power up later I have to start APRS-CE
with out the RS 232 cable attached and then exit APRS (without powering down
the HP). Before running APRS-CE again I hot plug the sync cable with the RS
232 then exicute the program. If I do not follow this procedure exactly the
HP goes in a lock up condition (or runs at a snails pace). About 50% of the
time even if I do follow this procedure it still hangs and I have to do a
reboot of the HP.
When it does run properly it screams (speedy).
It almost appears when I exit APRS-CE and power the HP down it is leaving
the serial port in an odd status. Once I get it running properly I can exit
and restart APRS-CE many times as long as I don't power the HP down. Once I
power it down and power back up it very difficult to get running agin.
In checking memory with the program running I find it has several meg of
un-used space in the machine
Anyone have suggestions or seen this problem?
