I think someone else already mentioned RAC to you. Radio Amateurs of Canada 
is the equivalent of your ARRL. See www.rac.ca/regulatory/rcip.htm for some 
info on the Canada-US reciprocal agreement. If I'm reading it correctly, you 
would have to still operate per your own regs and not contrary to Canadian 
regs. In other words, you wouldn't be able to operate below 3750 KHz on 
phone (unless your regs have changed recently) and you would have to ID 
every 10 minutes even though Canadian regs only require every 30 mins. The 
above page contains links to the official documents covering the reciprocal 
agreement. It doesn't look like you need to bring any paperwork, but it 
wouldn't hurt.
