I think it might have gotten buried in the middle of another discussion.
Did anyone see my post about using a serial/USB GPS receiver like the GPSmap
60C as an intermediary between an APRS-to-waypoint converter and a mapping
program?

The idea is that the waypoint converter fills the GPS receiver with
converter APRS data, and then any off-the-shelf mapping program can manually
download the waypoints.  It's clunky but should let you get APRS data into
just about anything.  Might be really useful for an EOC or emergency command
post where you need to interface with someone else's mapping system in a
hurry.
