A zero ohm resistor? Isn't that called...A fuse?<G>

Actually, it's a jumper. But zero-ohm resistors are used because they can be
used by standard pick'n'place machines used for surface-mount soldering,
unlike traditional wire jumpers, which don't lend themselves to automated
soldering.
