Just a note.  The response to a ?APRS? is supposed
to be random over the next 2 minutes so there are

A query of ?APRS? should cause all stations to respond.  I tried it here,
from my Igate radio, and the only thing that replied was the prototype on my
workbench.  All of the digis around here are KPC-3s, and most mobiles are
TX-only trackers.  There are a couple of Kenwoods, but none that actually
live in town - they just pass through sometimes.
