This DingoTel device is not tied to FRS. It works with any radio that
will interface with it. It could be tied to a commercial radio.

As much as some old timers hate Echolink and IRLP, Internet linking of
radio systems is on the rise, even outside of the Amateur Radio world.
For emergency communications, I still wouldn't count on it, but for
cost and convenience for a non-critical need, it is definitely
attractive (talking casual or low priority commercial use here).
