Gudday

Been doing some experimentation last few days into the best way to pass
traffic from remote sites into a HQ.

We have tried

1) UI send and forget packets - with linux perl looking at TNC
2) APRS messaging - with port xastir port 2023 talking to perl
3) 2.4 GHz wifi - failed misserably
4) Connect mode in AX25 with perl running on linux looking at serial port

By far the most simplest and most efficient was to set the kenwood up to 10
users, and then let them connect over good ole ax25 and send data.
The ack function was pushed back into the radio ax25 protocol layer instead
of the data layer eg APRS messaging.

Learnt heaps and found I could pass 17 pieces of infor in 2.5 secconds.

Try reading that out over air ! hee hee

All good fun, cheers Andy
