At a minimum, what if any downsides would there be to implement sending
messages to CALLSGN-E ? I can see none other than figuring out the email
address it needs to be routed to. QRZ has converted email addresses
listed on their user profiles to graphics though eham still provides those
addresses in clickable/text format. Assuming the person has an ARRL
address won't work (as was pointed out in other emails). Just wondering
if there's an automated way of doing this.

Presumably some sort of registration system will need to be implemented
but we've already discussed the downsides to that... though in terms of a
one way RF/APRS messaging to email gateway it may not be too much of an
issue.

The other problem would be preventing potential abuse (ie, making sure
KG4NRC is KG4NRC).
